Speed Writing My First Novel

Wooooo Hoooo!!! I Made it past 50,000!!

I reached 50,000 words and kept going! Before I knew it I had written 2,659 words today with a total of 50,843 words!! I am still not finished writing the Novel but I have achieved my goal of reaching 50,000 by this weekend!

This morning I woke up and had a comment here in my blog!
It made my day start off with a BANG! Even though most
of the day I was not feeling good, I was still excited
about writing. I wrote 3,080 words today!
I am having one problem though. My PLOT is running out!
I already wrote about everything I had thought of and
wrote down in an outline. I need to come up with some
more things that will go along with this plot. I need to also
think of an ending! That is going to be hard. I have NO idea
where this is going to end or how to make it the ending of a novel
that might have a sequel to it! If I can not think of a good true end,
then I will need to find some stopping point in the story to make as
an end to THIS novel. Then continue writing a second novel! Boy do I have a lot of work still cut out for me. lol I know I can do it! Nothing is going to stop me now! Nothing short of dying, and I am not ready to die yet, so that will not happen! lol I am GOING to finish this novel and if I need another novel to continue the story I will do that! Ok, time to hit the hey. I was going to bed about an hour ago! lol

Did I Get Burned Out?

I didn't write as much today, but I did still meet my 2,000 words a day goal.
I was really tired when I was writing and had to struggle just to get the amount
of words I wrote done. I just stopped for the day as soon as I saw my word count was a little above 2.000. I just could not keep on going. I hope that does not mean that I am burned out from the huge amount I wrote over the weekend!! I sure HOPE NOT!!
I'll see what tomorrow holds. Maybe I just need to get a good nights sleep?

I did it AGAIN over 5,000!!

I wrote 5,361 words today! That is more than yesterday! I made the 48 hour marathon that is in the Writers group Forward Motion. It was to help get through the middle of the month, and get jumpstarted on the slide down to the finish line!
Because that was a 48 hour challenge to write 5,000 words a day. I am not planning at this time to try and do that much each day. It is very tiring trying to plug out that much in one day! But Hey I did do it! I am going to keep up with my daily goal and maybe do some other challenges from the writers group if there are any more.
I still can't belive I wrote over 10,000 words in two days!

I can't belive it, I wrote over 5,000 words in one sitting! Of course I got up every now and then, but I was still focused on writing. I would go right back and write some more as soon as I was done getting a drink, or fixing a snack, etc...
I am sooo excited, I didn't know I was even cappable of writing that much. If have really bad spelling right now I don't care! lol I have been working too hard for so long writing today that spelling is my last concern! I do see it in here and don't care. lol I am doing GREAT. i can say that because I see the number jumping up and down. Boing boing boing. OK I am a bit slap happy right now. hehehehe

I finally have a PLOT!!

I made an outline of several scenes and chapters of a plot that I think is going to work real well. I even have the scenes going back and forth from one place to another, instead of writing a whole scene then going to antother scene. There are 3 scenes going on at once in one part! I am getting more excited about how the story is going!

Today I wrote the least amount of words in a day so far.
I only wrote 2,003 words, but it STILL IS over 2,000 words.
I am still happy about it. I am just not too impressed with
myself today since I had been doing much better than this, and
yesterday I wrote 3,310 words. I guess I am expecting myself to go
over 2,000 words, not just hit 2,000 words. lol Am I expecting too
much of myself? I don't think so, It is better to have the goals a bit
higher than too low and not reach my final goal for the contest of
50,000 words by Nov 30th. I think on some days that I am writing real
well, I will shoot for 3,000 words or more.

I wrote over 3,000 words today!! I can't belive it! It wasn't so hard either.
If I stay focused and don't look at the word count so much, then I will keep writing until I am well over my word count goal. That is what happend. I was at 2,740 and I figured well that is close to 3,000. So I wanted to keep going until I reached 3,000 words! I did it. Sooooo Super cool!
Now if each day were that easy It would be a brease! lol Then what challenge would that be right?

Writing During the Day?

I am going to attempt to write some before it gets dark.
I haven't been able to get one word written so far during the
daylight hours. I have NO idea why, but I am going to really
try to make myself do it. I know that professional writers have
to write whenever they have the time, not just when they feel
more creative. It is still light out right now at 4:36 pm. It
will be getting dark soon, so I am going to go start writting
now while it still is light out. If I can do this now, maybe I
will have a better chance of writing in the mornings.

Too Sleepy to Think Straight!

I am so tired, I don't know if I will be able to stay awake long enough tonight to finish my 2,000 words for today. I am also itching, I am not certain if it is hives, (I see no bumps) or just the fear I will break out that has made me itchy! lol The tricks our mind plays on us sometimes is NOT funny!

I am going to stay awake for as long as absolutely possible. If I have to I will take a nap for a few hours then get back up and finish writing. I AM going to finish the 2,000 words no matter if I feel good or not! I can't do it if I am sleeping on my keyboard. lol Well I guess I better go write.

I just finished writing my ideas for Drake's Birthday presents in my blog Novel Thoughts. It is a place for me to write down my ideas for the Novel especially if they are for later in the story. Or even something that might be a possiblility to put in the story. They will help me when I get stuck and can't think of things for my characters to do! Ok, Ok I am going to go write now, you don't have to yell! lol

I stayed at my Mom's on Sat the 6th and I still went a little over 2,000 words! I didn't just NOT write because I wasn't home!! I am more determined and motivated to achivemy own personal goal every day, and write no matter what, than I have been about anything in a LONG time!

I just got back from Voting this morning. I had a very hard night last night and barely slept at all. I am about to fall on my face I am so sleepy. So I am going to go back to bed for about 2 hours. Then I will get up and start writing. I hope my brain will let me sleep! Last night my brain was going a million miles a minute, so I couldn't relax to get to sleep.

I got off to a very slow start on November 1st. I had a very hard time just getting the first words of the novel to come to me. I knew the characters I was going to use, but had NO plot, NO beginning or ending. I haven't gotten very much written for the first day of writing. I hope that as I keep at it, the story will smooth out and just start to flow like my first story did.

I have only written 2,172 words today. I am going to bed now and going to get up and start fresh tomorrow November 2nd! Tomorrow I might post and excerpt of the beginning of the novel. For now I am just posting this.

Today starts NaNoWriMo!

I am not prepared for this at all, but I still want to do it. I am going to make the novel about the sequel to a story I wrote in the spring of this year. I need to relax so the story will come to me better. I think I better put on Creed! Ok that is better!

Please anyone that reads this, leave me supportive comments. I am going to be writing all day every day to try and get this done. Just like a professional writer would! I need support without them being distractions.

Please support me in this! I am going to do it no matter what, so I would rather have support than people complaining to me that I don't get out of the house enough! LOL Writers rarely get out of the house much! Not if they are busy writing for a deadline! I have a deadline, November 30th!
